As stated on the home page, Almost All Stars is a group of players whom actively play Heroes of Newerth both casually and competitively. We are not location-discriminatory and we welcome players of all skill levels that are dedicated to becoming better players, helping others, and can take and or give positive criticism.

Almost All Stars is a new and upcoming Heroes of Newerth team, but our roots reach farther back. The two current leaders, PhusionDev and solfat played Unreal Tournament 99 CTF competitively for nearly 7 years, many of those years on the same team. Almost All Stars first came to be in another first person shooter game: Warsow, but was short-lived due to lack of general community interest with the game. We then tried our luck with Valve's zombie-blaster, Left 4 Dead, but felt that it wasn't the right game for us.

Heroes of Newerth is the first non-fps title that we've extended Almost All Stars to, but we both feel that this is the perfect game for us, and the perfect game to develop as a highly respected team amongst the competition. Our interests are simple: build an established team with a rock solid, mature community that likes to play Heroes of Newerth with eachother. We may be starting off small, but we have aspiration and you can be sure to see more of us in the near future.
